A Life #52: We’re (feed)Back!
A series of unfortunate occurrences have prevented the brave crew of the starship A Life from convening and bringing you another dosage of asexual discussion. But here we are again, this time mainly going over the past several weeks of feedback and playing the Asexual Elitist Blame Game!
Poll:
Has you romantic identity evolved since you found the asexual community?

haha love the snooty voice
it was featured on family guy:
when chris went to prep school
the character, jw bottomtooth III
had a particularly prominent jaw bone
he couldn’t really talk
his nasal passages just sorta vibrated

Just a response to Henrik’s reading of my comment from a much earlier episode – I think that Henrik would make a great librarian, and I think that holds true for any of the A Life panelists. I know from hearing Henrik talk about the admissions process for universities in Finland, that perhaps it isn’t easy to get in, but that aside, the library profession could really REALLY use innovative and tech -savvy people like Henrik.
I also have to wonder if asexuals might gravitate toward certain professions more than others? For example, I have met a number of librarians who seem to be ace. There also seems to be a good number of librarians who have aspergers, although that fact doesn’t surprise me as much. Librarians are a quirky bunch, and as a community, are very tolerant of the various types of eccentric people who choose this profession.
I also wanted to thank you all again, as this podcast has helped so much in cultivating a better sense of identity for myself, as I have discovered and learned more about asexuality. When I commented a few months ago, I was very new to the whole thing, and listening to your podcasts has been a great adventure.
